Education is the solution to a number of problems that challenge Afghanistan. Unfortunately, for years, large numbers of Afghans were not able to learn even basic reading and writing due to civil wars and the rule of the Taliban. Today, in the midst of political chaos and economic depression, Afghan youth and children are passionately seeking education. However, the majority of Afghan children who attend school, attend public schools, which have very limited resources and 90% of the these schools have no libraries.

We believe in education and that creating libraries will allow students to think independently and critically. As a result, Qamarnisa Ayoub established Andeshagah Library in the summer of 2017 with direct supervision of Joe Highland, one of the board members of AGFAF and the financial support of AGFAF. It is the first functioning/active library at Sayed-u-Shuhada girl's school which has 7000 students. Andeshagah's chief goal is to promote a reading culture and provide a safe place for girls to explore books. Andeshagah provides various books to students and is also open to the whole community. We plan on starting our first Farsi and English reading clubs in the near future.

آموزش، راه حل بسیاری از مشکلاتی است که امروزه افغانستان را با چالش مواجه کردهاست. متأسفانه، رقمِ بالایی از افغان ها به دلیل موجودیت جنگهای داخلی و دوره حکمرانی طالبان، نتوانستند سالهای متمادی حتی به سطحِ ابتدائی خواندن و نوشتن دسترسی داشته باشند. امروز، با وجود همه آشفتگیهای سیاسی و کسادت اقتصادی در کشور، اطفال و جوانان افغان با شور و شوق دنبال آموزش و تحصیل علم استند. با اینهمه، اکثریتِ اطفال افغان در مکاتب دولتی میروند، مکاتبی که منابع بسیار محدودی دارند. ما به آموزش باور داریم و این که ایجاد کتابخانه برای شاگردان اجازه میدهد تا آزاد و منتقدانه بیاندیشند. که به اساس همین باورِ مان، قمرنسا ایوب کتابخانه ای اندیشهگاه را با نظارت مستقیم جوهایلند و حمایت مالی اگفاف در تابستان 1396 تأسیس کرد. این اولین کتابخانه فعال و کاربردی در مکتب دخترانه سیدشهدا است که دارای ۷۰۰۰ دانشآموز میباشد. هدف اصلی کتابخانه اندیشهگاه، گسترشدادن فرهنگ مطالعه و فراهمساختن یک فضای امن برای دختران وهمچنان استفاده عام است تا کتابهای مورد نظر شان را در آن جستوجو کنند. اندیشهگاه برای دانشآموزان کتابهای گوناگون را فراهم میکند و ما مصمم استیم تا اولین گروه کتابخوانی فارسی و انگلیسی را در آیندهای نزدیک آغاز نماییم.
